Jascano: proving Indian craft doesn't need a foreign label

J'Ascano set out to change how Indian men dress, starting from India itself. Instead of leaning on imported tailoring codes, the brand built its identity around homegrown craft and unusual fabric research: pieces made from milk fibre, sugarcane, rose petals, and banana-blend textiles, finished with buttons cut from plant-based material and mother-of-pearl rather than standard plastic.

The result is a wardrobe that sits between structure and ease — sharp tailoring where it counts, relaxed everywhere else — designed for someone who wants their clothing to say something deliberate rather than just look presentable. It's luxury menswear that doesn't need to borrow credibility from a foreign name. The craft, materials, and point of view are entirely homegrown.
